I am old enough to remember the "sex bomb" Jayne Mansfield's tragic car accident.
An incredibly sad exit not unlike Marilyn Monroe. Two truly talented women who ultimately wanted to be taken seriously. Much like Pam Anderson who started out the same way these two women did, she had managed to cross over to drama and of course comedy, which she always had a flair for. However, Jayne and Marilyn were never going to be taken seriously. It was never going to happen and it was part of their ultimate demise.
Mariska's documentary is a painful search through parts of her life she never knew existed. This is thoughtful, well done and many times heart wrenching to watch her as she navigates ..and solders through painful truths she was never aware existed. You're heart goes out to her, how can it not? Mine did.
